What should I put in the background of this drawing (and how to draw it)??

My character. xD In case it's not obvious, she's a mermaid, so I'd like some suggestions of things ocean or beach-related, and some advice on how to draw them (I'm horrible at drawing backgrounds ^^;; ).

How about a little underwater world: other mermaids in the distance, A castle made out of sand or coral- something like that. I'd watch the little mermaid for inspiration X}

Or maybe just the ocean with a sunset in the background, something simple so people concentrate on the actual mermaid.

You can make like other mermaids in the back or like just bubbles.. I would tell you to put like sun rays coming down, but then you would have to draw in the lightning in her hair and stuff so you should put her near the "bottom" of the ocean.. like near seahorse.
Just add a little ocean like background.

Water, some seaweed, and a little bit of shells.

I think long flowing seaweed would look really good. Seaweed isn't that hard, and it could look really pretty.
